Stability AI has launched Stable Video Diffusion, a new generative video model based on their Stable Diffusion image model. This research release, available on GitHub and Hugging Face, marks a significant advancement in video generation technology, adaptable for various applications including advertising and education.
The model features two image-to-video conversion capabilities, producing 14 to 25 frames at rates from 3 to 30 fps. It has shown preference over other leading models in initial user studies, although it's currently intended only for research and not for commercial use.

Tesla has started releasing its Full Self-Driving (FSD) v12 update to employees, a key step towards achieving its goal of "true" self-driving capability.
